Course- Dessert
Cuisine- Indian
Preparation time-5 mins
Cooking time- 20 mins
Serves- 4 no
Ingredients:
Thick milk- 11/4 cup
Sugar-1 cup (for moderate sweetness)
Milk powder-1 1/2 cup
Method:
- Take a thick bottom pan or kadai, add milk, and allow it to boil until it thickens slightly.
- Now add sugar to this, with continuous stirring. The mixture starts thickening just like rabdi.
- Add the milk powder to the above mixture. Keep stirring this for 3 to 4 mins to prevent it from burning at the bottom.
- Switch off and cool the mixture. Homemade condensed milk is ready to prepare many delicious desserts.
My notes:
The sweetness can be varied according to individual taste buds.
The refined sugar can be replaced with any other healthy form of sugar.
Do not boil for long time after adding milk powder, as chances of burning is more.
