Mix condensed milk and cocoa powder well to remove any lumps. Keep this aside.
Whipping fresh cream
Take a big bowl, add ice cubes at the bottom. Place the chilled bowl on the ice cubes. Add chilled thick fresh cream to this bowl.
Using electric beater, start whipping at high-speed using chilled whipping attachments.
Whip the fresh cream for 5 minutes. Do not whip for long time, you will end up making butter instead of whipped cream.
After 5 minutes, you get soft peak whipped cream. At this point stop whipping. Whipped cream is ready for ice cream base.
Preparing double chocolate ice cream
Add the chocolate chips to the whipped cream. Next add the chocolate mixture.
Gently fold whipping cream and chocolate mixture.
Pour this mixture into a container or keep as it in the same bowl. Close with a foil tightly and freeze for 9 to 10 hours or overnight. Freeze until the ice cream is set.
Serving options
Before serving, you can keep the ice cream at room temperature for 1 to 2 minutes. This slightly softens the ice cream. Makes it easy to scoop out the ice cream.
