Jackfruits are the summer treats after mango. Well this is my first adventure to use a well known delicious jackfruit into a new yummillious ice cream. This is just unique and can be common to those who have visited Naturals ice cream parlour. Jackfruit chunks in every bite. This a tropical treat for all jackfruit lovers. It’s easy to make with just four ingredients and very few steps to follow.

Here goes the recipe

Preparation time: 5 mins

Cooking time: 6-7 hours (including freezing time)

Serves: 5 Nos

Ingredients:

Cold Fresh cream – 1 ½ cup

Jackfruit puree – 1 cup

Jackfruit pieces – ½ cup

Powdered sugar – 1 cup

Method:

  1. Whip the fresh cream on ice bath for 4-5 mins until soft peaks are formed. Now add the powdered sugar and whip again for 4-5 mins.
  2. Now add the jackfruit puree and pieces, combine well.  Pour this into airtight ice cream box or aluminum tray and cover with foil.
  3. Freeze this for 6-7 hours. Serve this chill with extra jackfruit pieces or chocolate syrup or choco chips.

My Notes:

I have used Amul fresh cream in this recipe. Dairy or Non Dairy whipping cream can also be used.

Closing with lid or aluminum foil is important during freezing to prevent the formation ice crystals.

Sugar can be adjusted based on the sweetness of the jackfruit puree.

I prefer serving it plain with jackfruit pieces to enjoy the complete flavor of jackfruit.
